This painting was inspired by Arthur's Seat, the ancient volcanic hill that rises above Edinburgh. As my husband and I made the climb together, we moved slowly, focusing less on the summit and more on the next stretch of trail ahead.

After back surgery, I wasn't sure I would ever be able to make a climb like this again. What seemed impossible at the beginning became possible through patience, perseverance, and encouragement. Step by step, the path unfolded before us.

Green Peak captures that feeling—the winding trail, the vibrant hillside, and the quiet determination found along the way. The soft greens and expansive sky reflect both the beauty of the landscape and the sense of hope that comes from realizing you're capable of more than you thought.
